Students at CIC member universities enjoy expanded access to world-class resources and programs due to a rich array of academic collaborations.

Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP): CIC’s enduring commitment to student diversity and equal access to higher education manifests itself in SROP. The program provides qualified undergraduate students with intensive research experiences and creates a pipeline for future graduate students, faculty and professionals. More about SROP

FreeApp: The graduate application fee waiver program or FreeApp is designed to expand participation of underrepresented students in graduate education. More about FreeApp

Alliance for Expanded Study in Overseas Programs (AESOP):  As the forces of globalization increase and intensify, the challenge to American colleges and universities is clear: We must prepare students to function as world citizens and world leaders. AESOP increases opportunities for global learning by opening member university study aboard programs to all member campuses. More about AESOP

Shared Courses: CIC institutions have a long tradition of sharing faculty expertise by making specialized courses available to students from member universities. Three programs increase student access to courses including the newest, CourseShare, that opens course access through the use of distance technology. More about Shared Courses

Reciprocal Library Borrowing:  CIC university libraries have agreements in place that allow undergraduate and graduate students to borrowing privileges at any CIC member library either in person or through a request for delivery. More about Reciprocal Library Borrowing
