Successes

The Preservation Departments at CIC member libraries have a long and ongoing history of collaborating on coordinated preservation and access projects. As of March 2003 over $8 million in external funding (primarily from the National Endowment for the Humanities) plus considerable in-kind contributions from CIC member libraries have resulted in over nearly 82,000 volumes being preserved.
